This
research was about the temperature effect on the germination of
two seed lots of Acacia caven (Mol) Mol of different provenances.
It was proven that temperature has a significant effect on the percentage
of of germination and rate. The minimum germination temperature
varies between 5 and 10° C, depending on the seed lot, and the
maximum ones were about 40° C or even higher. The optimum temperatures
were 15,20,25 and 30° C for the seed lot from Antumapu and 20,
25, 30 and 35 ° C for the ones from the Rinconada de Maipú.
